Alpha-Wellness TDS and EC Meter allows you to measure two separate parameters:
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and
- Electrical Conductivity (EC)
TDS, in layman's terms, is the combined total of solids dissolved in water. Since dissolved ionized solids, such as salts and minerals, increase the conductivity of a solution EC is the ability of something to conduct electricity (in this case, water's ability to conduct electricity).
Ideal water measurements are (Standard):
- EC reading: 1000 to 1500 ppm - Veggies
- EC reading: 1500 to 3000 ppm - Fruit bearing plants
